Why You'll Love This Trip

Genuinely assist with the harvest and join the Rtveli (harvest festival). Authentic experience with a family, not a "made for tourists" pick and stomp day out. LIMITED SPACE: Only about 4 to 6 trips will happen this season.
Take part in the harvest with a local family. Pick grapes at their vineyard, stomp them by foot (at most places we visit) or assist with the mechanical process. Watch the process of grapes getting processed into the qvevri, where they will ferment.
Join the family for the traditional feast (supra) following the harvest day. Eat homemade dishes and taste last seasons' wines, into the evening. Toasts and singing are encouraged.
Before the supra: visit 1 or more local historic sites, or help the family with the food preparation.
Day 2: Recover from the supra and enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel with breakfast.
Visit a traditional local market and sample unique cheese and other artisan products.
Stop for a delicious lunch and wine tasting at another vineyard before travelling back to Tbilisi.

About Our Wine Trips

Our motivation for all our trips center on our 3 core values:

Authentic - Our focus is on immersion into the real culture of Georgia. Though we may take you to some famous attractions (they are famous for a reason) we counterbalance that with grass roots experiences, like meeting micro-producer artisan winemakers at their family homes.

Personal - Every level of the experience should connect you with the people of Georgia, whether that is through the stories our guides tell, or the sincere interactions and hospitality of the people you’ll meet at our food and wine locations. Our small group experiences always maintain a level of real connection.

Interactive / Educational - We weave a picture of Georgia through a combination of hands-on activities and enthusiastic guides and hosts.
